Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is the fifth racing game that Sega has released in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The four predecessors of racing video game include Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic R and Sonic Riders. Both the original Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity games are available on the PS2 platform.

Mario was first introduced in 1981 in the Donkey Kong game that was available in the arcade. At that point he was known as “Jumpman,” however he looked exactly the same as the Mario we have all come to know in the Mario Bros. franchise.

According to the story plot, mysterious objects drop from the sky and land into different areas on earth. One of the mysterious objects happened to land of the city of the future called Monopole. After that, an announcer informs that the robots of Monopole has run wildly against Sonic, Tails and Knuckles while they are examining the meteorite. As Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are escaping, the MeteorTech robots suddenly appear and attack them. The meteorite robots attack them because they want the stone that is in their possession. When they come to the 300th floor, they encounter with more robots from Meteortech. Sonic though that they are doomed until the meteorite unleash its power and stop the enemies.

The Mario game that brought the character to its popularity was the first “Super Mario Bros” game that was introduced for the Super Nintendo and is now known as the best selling game of all time.

Mario’s development into the 3D world helped excel its brand to the Nintendo 64, which today is still known as the best 3D platform game that has ever been created.

The main characters in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity include Sonic the hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow, Storm the Albatross, Amy Rose and Dr. Ivan Robotnik.

They created Sonic the Hedgehog who would help market the Sega Genesis to compete against Mario and the Super Nintendo system.
