BAKflip F1 Tonneau Cover

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Meet up with BAK’s most sophisticated tonneau cover ever; the BAKFlip F1. The dual-purpose BAKflip F1 flips backside for total bed accessibility and rear window safety, then it folds ahead and locks in location to maintain cargo crooks as well as sticky fingers away.

What truly sets the BAKFlip F1 out from lesser tonneaus is actually the high-tech construction as well as design. BAK calls for a super-rigid EPS core, sandwiches it with fiberglass-strengthened polymer on top as well as an epoxy-coated lightweight aluminum on bottom. That makes the BAKflip F1 35% more robust than its more youthful cousin, the BAK G2, as well as far superior to the majority of tonneaus in the marketplace.

The BAKFlip F1 is 100% climate-resistant and strong sufficient to support up to 400 lbs of distributed weight. Your BAKFlip F1 by no means fades, warps or cracks. Plus, the seamless EPDM rubber hinges are leak proof and created to outlive your truck.

Do not worry, setting up your BAKFlip F1 will not flip you out. Just a couple of minutes along with a couple of hand tools are usually all it takes to cover your truck’s bed. Additionally, the low profile fits correct inside your truck bed rails to remove mileage-robbing blowing wind drag. Greatest yet, BAK’s got an individual’s back with an amazing 2-year warranty.

This BAKFlip F1 is constructed for superior strength, sturdiness, and impact resistance. The fiberglass-reinforced topside sits on top of a higher-density Expanded polystyrene core as well as an aluminum bottom for rock-solid structural protection. rollbak g2. The insides of F1 panels are 35% more dense than all those on the G2, making all of them considerably much more rigid. The BAKFlip F1 complies with OEM High quality and Rigidity Standards as well as qualifies as an Original Equipment Component for one of the large three auto manufacturers.

The BAKFlip F1 Tonneau Cover sets up and operates exactly like the G2 and also HD models. It has the panels fold open as well as lock up next to the cab for complete truck bed access with out removing the cover. Integrated drain routes and smooth watertight folds maintain rain and dampness out of your truck bed. The BAKflip F1 latches shut under the bed rails as well as locks up together with your tailgate for complete cargo security. bakflip. Plus, it is finished off along with two coats of epoxy primer along with a scratch-resistant polyester finish for tough production line looks.

Formula 1 Now Has The Youngest World Champion

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

The end of 2010 Formula 1 season was couple of weeks ago in Abu Dhabi. And just after a week the mechanics from different teams are already working on the new cars for 2011 season. The new types by Michelin were tested last week and you can read the car reviews can be read online on several car sites. Some people are saying the new BMW team might be coming into F1 again after opting out but I doubt that. But you never know because there is always a controversy in motor racing especially in F1.

2010 season certainly was one of the most exciting seasons for a long period of time. Up until the last three weekends there were 5 drivers still in the hunt of winning the drivers championship. Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton could all win the title. One Ferrari, two Red bulls and two Mercedes cars were fighting against each other to win that important prize.

Former World champions Button and Hamilton fell too far behind to chase the title with two races to go. From Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso became the favourite with two races to go and leading with 11 points. Mark Webber was in second and Vettel in third. But in Brazil Vettel won the race with Webber finishing second and Alonso third, this meant all three will head into the last race and battle it out again.

Abu Dhabi saw Vettel take poll in qualifying but Webber and Alonso were right behind him so we were all anticipating a great race and a great race it was. Everyone was feeling tense. During the race Fernando Alonso pitted early and was followed by Mark Webber. The decision both Ferrari and Red Bull played in advantage of the German Vettel who took this chance to win the title and take the lead in the driver’s championship table to become the youngest F1 World Champion.

F1 Safety Car Driver Bernd Mayländer Speaks Of His Usual Race Day

Sunday, September 19th, 2010

Bernd Mayländer gives us an insight into the preparation and responsibility of his role driving the SLS AMG Formula One safety car ahead of this weekends Grand Prix in Hungary.

Sunday was an early start for them all at the track. One of the best moments of the weekend was seeing how the circuit and the people slowly awoke and embraced the exciting day ahead. After the second GP2 race the Porsche Supercup took place and the battle for the Formula 1 race begun.

Charlie Whiting moved the official F1 Safety Car to the starting grid and handed it over to Bernd Mayländer. Some important parts to Mayländers race preparation are to check again whether the camera and the radio functioned properly and got the most recent weather update.

Just before 200pm Mayländer leaves the starting grid. As soon as all cars have completed the first curve Mayländer moves the car to the parking position for the next race. He then watches the action on the TV screen and communicates with Race Control throughout to check whether all frequencies are functioning properly.

If the race was finished without a Safety Car phase that was thankfully usually the case, he would wait for the last race car and follow it.  If the weather conditions worsened or an accident occurred however he would converse with Race Control to give his opinion of the situation. Race Control then chose whether he would be deployed or not.

The commands he gets from Race Control can include Safety Car stand by in which he prepares for deployment Safety Car stand-down meaning the dangerous situation no longer exists or Safety Car GO which informs Mayländer that he must immediately drive onto the track and quickly get in front of the leading car. During a Safety Car phase safety is the most important element but Mayländer must still maintain the correct speed. This is to prevent the tyre pressure from decreasing and to stop the cars overheating due to the lack of cooling air.

He then stays on the circuit until the hazardous situation has been overcome. Before reaching the next exit he turns into the pit lane and the grid is released. If no support race takes place his day is complete. When his work is finished for the day he spends his Sunday evenings at home.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2010

Monaco Gran Prix 2010

2010 Monaco grand prix was definitely one of the crunching and stunning races for last couple of years. There were crashes, mechanical failures, tempered flared and skills involved in this race. It had me all pumped so I thought why not I go for a quick drive around in my Audi TT roadster or my dad’s Audi Q5 which we got few months ago from used cars garage not so long ago. It was a terrible idea of me because in that hype I forgot how many speed cameras there are and also Audi is not as fast as F1 machines. So I should just stick to watch the race on TV other than drive an Audi in a 30mph road.

The race was about to start and gorgeous weather surrounded Monaco. The circuit is 3.340km long and the race distance is 260.520km. From the qualifying the Australian Mark Webber was in pole position for the red bull team and Robert Kubica of Renault team just behind him. Behind them two was the new emerging star of F1 Sebastian Vettel. A lot of people are tipping the German (Vettel) to take the title this year after a wonderful 2009 season.

The race was interrupted few times, which brought safety car in to the track few times because of some horrific crashes. Mark Webber got in with a really good start alongside Vettel and they were running brilliantly in first and second place respectively. Every time Webber pulled away a bit from the rest of the pack the safety car was called in and everyone caught up with Webber. Safety car played its part to make the race interesting as Webber couldn’t pull away. At the end of the race after 78 laps it was indeed the Australian who too the chequered just in front of Vettel and then Kubica who finished third.

Highlight of the race surely has to be Alonso’s recovery from 23 positions to finish sixth, brilliantly done by the Spaniard after a horrible crash in the qualifying.

Red Bull On F1

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Mr Mark Webber took the win at Monaco this weekend with a very good win with the second guy also in a Red Bull car, this leads onto the question, are Red Bull going to win the cup overall this year, well I am not too sure?

They have been doing consistently well since the start of the season and it would seem that the only thing that has been letting down so far is not the drivers or the cars but the people in the pit’s not knowing what they are doing. Although I am in full support of Button and Hamilton I will say that the likelihood of either of them actually winning is quite slim thanks to the Red Bull car this year.

Button had to have an early exit of the race and this was because of a blocked vent. The only thing that I really do not like about Button is that he knows he is a good driver meaning he is a bit arrogant.

Vettel really isn’t too happy at the moment as he came in second on the same team and this is something that is happening a lot at the moment between these two racers. Although Webber thinks he is more than good enough to take on Vettel I still feel that Vettel is the better driver, come on Vettel start of by showing Webber that I am right.

i do not think that the end result for the championship has been sorted yet, not by any means at all, it is all open for debate and although I think Red Bull have got a chance I still think they could be beaten.

Car accessories are certainly not cheap for these cars which are why it is a good job that they do not need satellite navigationand pressure washers.

Then again I might find that Red Bull prove me wrong on the next event, it remains to be seen.

Is The New F1 Game Going To Be Good?

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

An F1 game has finally been confirmed for the Xbox 360 at long last, well a decent one, and this is great news I have to say. Here are some of the things to look out for in the upcoming F1 2010.

Season Greetings

There are a lot of fans out there that are a bit annoyed at the fact the game has not been released along with the start of the F1 2010 season and this is because Codemasters are actually waiting to put the right information into the game. Players of this game really should expect the best F1 driving experience. It would also seem that a lot of effort has been put into the weather system with one of the best systems ever slotting into place. Let’s face it, in most driving games you will actually start in the sunshine and end the race in the sunshine, bit boring. However in this game you could start in the sun and then of course the clouds could come in and rain could start to fall which means you have a decision to make, change the tyres or not to change the tyres?!

Graphics/Gameplay

The game currently looks to be one of the best looking games I have ever seen when it comes to driving and I cannot wait for this game to be released. challenges in game look to be great as if for example you choose to drive the Ferrari then you are expected to finish on the podium each race and if you do not you will most certainly receive a media backlash.

So even if you really think that the sport F1 is pretty boring you will still enjoy driving the 200MPH cars around on the race track in this video game!

For real drivers gap insurance and bad credit car finance are very important along with all of the usual car accessories of course!
