Used Cars Make 1 In 5 People Pretty Annoyed

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

This figure has recently come forward here in the UK and it has been taken from a massive 600 people. Many people are shocked at how used car specialists are being allowed to get away with all of this. So is there something you can do when thinking about a used car?

I don’t Give A Damn About Your Reputation

There is of course a way that you can check out the reputation of the place you are thinking of buying from and this is by going online and looking for various reviews, see what you find. If all you are seeing is review upon review that is bad then I would go somewhere else.

Cheap For A Certain Reason

If the price of a new car is very good almost too good to be true, do not try it. The best thing to do is to compare prices on cars very similar to yours to make sure that you are simply not going with someone that has marked the car down a lot for a reason.

The Key Thing Is Common Sense

If a car that has been around for a good number of years has hardly any miles at all then the chances are they have clocked back the mileage to make it seem like it in a much better condition than it really is. Make sure that on top of all of this you are looking out for the dodgy salesman because if you don’t you will find yourself easily conned into buying something you do not need.

However on the most part. used cars are perfectly fine from most places and if you are looking tobuy a ford or perhaps the Audi TT Coupe make sure you realise most places are fine.

Why Is Car Theft Pointless?

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

It would certainly seem that the amount of car thefts that actually happen every single year are on the fall but it would still certainly seem that these crimes are occurring, of course people are doing it for a bit of extra money but how much is a stolen car actually worth?

In all honesty if you do steal a car you would not be able to sell it to an honest person because they would be asking too many questions and with more and more chop shops being shut down by the cops I have to say that sooner or later a stolen car may become a crime we rarely hear of which of course is fantastic news.

There are still many cars being stolen all of the time but it would seem that in recent years police are making a much bigger effort in tracking down these cars and returning them to their owners. If a criminal is found to have done this crime then at the moment they are being made an example of which is great because it is going to deter other people from doing it.

Many criminals are resorting to simply smashing in windows and pinching a lot of the car accessories because they are easier to take and a lot harder to track down than the car itself. As the criminals are being caught when they take the entire car it almost seems logical to simply take things from the inside of the car.

So what on earth do you do if your car is stolen? Do not panic, credit cards and things can be cancelled and the best course of action to take is to simply tell the police straight away. So much more effort has been put on finding stolen cars the chances of you seeing your car again is pretty high. Failing this something like gap insurance and bad credit car leasing will help you out.

Councils Are Currently Issuing Ghost Tickets

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Here in the UK it has to be said that most of the population are in union when it comes to disliking Traffic Wardens, something to do with them enjoying their job I think. However many councils here in the UK have got another method of catching you parking illegally that is unfair and has several flaws.

Ghost ticketing is basically the same as a traffic warden slapping a ticket on the car apart from this way a CCTV camera spots the car and they send of a ticket to your house this way. They are looking to do this partly because hiring a private firm is expensive and partly because doing it this way gives them a higher chance to catch someone which of course in turn gives them more money.

Why is this a bad thing?

There is a huge flaw when it comes to this idea and it is called a disabled person, I will explain? The councils that are already taking part in this have actually already said that it is going to be almost impossible to check to see whether the car has a blue badge on it, well that’s a great one isn’t it. Surely this would just mean more hassle for the person that is diabled, it is not fair at all.

Aren’t These Meant For Crime Prevention?

With more focus on illegal parking surely less time is going to be spent looking out for criminal activity. This is not a good thing at all and it will be interesting to see if the crime rate rockets because of this scheme.

Fair

Using this method means that it is very hard for people to argue against the ticket as they will not even know they have the ticket until it gets popped through the letterbox. This means people are more likely to forget the exact date and time, hardly fair if they had a legitimate excuse.

All of this is not going to help you when looking for bad credit car loans as well as cheap lease cars. Parking tickets do also not help when looking for specific deals like Gap Insurance.

Slashing Tyres Is A Crime

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Slashing tyres is a very low thing to do and is something that is awful to do to someone's car. Why do people even bother doing things like this?

Why Do People Think it Is Funny

The fact is that many people think that doing this to someone is a great laugh but do they really think of the implications of their actions. Of course they do not. People are going to be late for work because of this without a doubt. What about people taking their kids to school? Do they even think of the bills it is going to cost to replace the tyres?

Tyres are really not cheap to buy, imagine if you had all four let down. What about people that are really struggling with their money, how are they going to be able to afford to pay for this?

With things like this there is hardly ever a real reason behind it all, people just do it because they can. Of course if you are always shouting ad your neighbours and telling them how your fancy contract hire car is much better than theirs, you kind of have it coming to you. Although it is never fun to wake up to your tyres being let down you do deserve it if you are being an arse to everyone in the street.

It Is A Crime

One of the things to remember is that this is a crime and it can be punisheed for so bare this in mind. Contact the police is you know who is doing it, they will do something. If this does happen to you and you know who has done it then make sure you do not get them back.

So whether its those van leasing tyres or you have gotten your car from bad credit car leasing it is never fun to have the tyre slashed.

Whatever You Do Make Sure You DO Not Pull Over For Unmarked Police Vehicles

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

If you think you are being pulled over by an unmarked police car then do not pull over, keep going and do what you wer doing before you noticed it. The law is that you do not have to stop for an unmarked police car under any circumstances. So what are the real reasons for this?

Well it was implemented for one simple reason. There are so many people out there that are able to commit some really nasty crimes by pretending to be the police. This allows them to lure people into an isolated area in which they can pull you over and do anything from rob to even rape and kill. The police realised that all of this was going on so they brought forward this law in the 80s to try and stop this kind of thing from happening.

A lot of people do not realise that you do not have to stop which is why pull over and wait for the potential criminal to approach. The one thing to keep in mind is that you can actually go out and get a light similar to the one that the police department use so it will not always be the police. On top of this, if it is a police car they are not allowed to charge you if you do not pull over.

So if something like this does happen to you the best thing to do is ring 911 or 999 on your mobile/cell phone to check with the police if there is an unmarked car in your area. If you are one of those people that are still not using a mobile phone then the best thing to do is go to a populated area.

Car leasing and van leasing is something that could save you money on a vehicle when you are looking to get a new one. Audi Leasing is an affordable way to get an Audi vehicle.

Could We Go On Without The Van?

Friday, December 4th, 2009

The van is a bigger invention than people first may think and this is why. People use the van for so many different things from transporting goods to storage of tools for unique trades. So what would all of these people do without their vans?

A lot of businesses would have never come into existance as without the vans they could not operate.

Delivery Firms

Delivery firms like Parcel Force, UPS and more importantly for the UK, The Royal Mail. You would start to recieve your mail even less then you do now, The red vans the Royal Mail are famous for are certainly needed? They wouldnt be able to deliver a thing. UPS and Parcel Force would be non existent as they specialize in the larger packages and without their vans it would become very difficult to deliver such things.

An End To Music?

Well it wouldn’t be an end to music all together but we would see a huge drop in artists simply because the van is the cheapest and easiest way for beginner bands to transport their band equipment to the various locations that they need to be at.

A Postitive To This?

There are so many criminals out there that choose to the van as the vehicle in which to commit crimes with. Would this affect the number of crimes that are committed?

Why would people just not drive a lorry? Well for one you need to take separate tests top be able to drive one of these and this is both time consuming and costly for a company. As well as this many lorries are unable to get down roads which is partly why the van was invented in the first place.

Conclusion

It is unquestionable that without the van a lot of company's and people would really be in trouble.

Small van leasing as well as  commercial  contract hire and van contract hire have further helped van users to save money when thinking about a new van.

Why Do Police Look Out For White Vans?

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

It would seem that the white van is the main van that the police track for criminal activity but why is this?

Well to start with, over the past few years the white van has been the accomplice to many criminals from burglaries and theft to abductions and even rape. Why is it that so many criminals choose a white van over the thousands of other vehicles out there?

Well over the years the vehicle of the criminal has changed and it would seem that the modern times have chosen the white van. These two are just some of the vehicles that people have been using for crime over the past few years.

Ford V8 B-400

This surely has to be the the most famous of all of the crimnal cars because this is the model that Bonnie and Clyde used for their crimes. This is certainly a car that you look at and can easily relate it to Bonnie and Clyde or the mafia.

1966 Chevrolet Impala

This was the choice of a very deadly killer that was never found way back in the 60′s. No one actually knows who the murderer is because he was only ever known by the car. He preyed on people at night who within in a car themselves. It was reported by several victims and also drawn out several times. He murdered five people and attempted to do it to another seven.

So as you can see the vehicles that criminals choose are ever changing and it is only so long before the criminal chooses another one over the white van. The van seems to be chosen because it is suitable for any criminal activity which is the only downside to the vehicle.

On the other side of the argument, vans have really helped the world as they help millions of people every single day. van contract hire has helped even further by providing affordable means of getting hold of a van. Citroen van leasing and Mercedes Van Leasing are just some of the options out there to choose from.

Working In A Van?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Vans can give you just as many problems as a car can if not more.

A big problem for van owners is that people tend to sneak into the back and attempt to steal some of the goods. It would really only take a couple of masterminds a few seconds to get expensive things out of a van. The van should really be locked at any chance you get because it is possible that somebody got steal something from you at any point during the day, locking it when you dash into a shop still needs to be done.

Smoker have hit a bit of an obstacle too as it is now ilegal to smoke in a works van in the same way it is for a business and pub. This is really down to the fact that smoking is now seen as a nasty habit as well as the fact people do not want to get their goods stinking of smoke.

If something bad happens like a small crash or something does happen to get stolen from you then what are you to do? Normal insurances like business insurance will not cover you and the office insurance is not going to help you out either.

This is where you can look into getting business vans insurance as this will help you out when it comes to the above problems. Because these kinds of policies are formed around a van owner they will cover you from things like stolen goods to damage of the van itself.

There are a number of things you can get that will not cost you that much money so just have a little look into some of the deals out there. Sometimes a business is forced to end for good if things are taken from the van.
